20 Years of Zinegoak. LGBTQI+ Animation
Instituto Cervantes continues to focus on LGBTQI+ identities by working with thematic festivals and institutions to increase the visibility of their film cycles. This year, our programming to mark LGBTQI+ Pride was put together by Basque festival Zinegoak, which celebrates its twentieth anniversary by presenting a cycle of animated films on this subject on our Vimeo channel. Over the course of four weeks, a series of short films using different animation techniques will depict the stories of all kinds of LGBTQI+ identities and groups, including several created by young film-makers in the Basque language.
