10th Annual ¡Cine Magnífico! Albuquerque Latino Film Festival
Instituto Cervantes Albuquerque is launching the tenth edition of Cine Magnífico, the Albuquerque Latino Film Festival, from September 13 to 29. In its nine previous editions, this event has been committed to the dissemination of culture and audiovisual creation in Spanish and has given visibility over the years in New Mexico to numerous quality films and short films made in Spain and several Spanish-speaking countries. The 2022 edition of the festival will have as its main venue the KiMo Theatre in Albuquerque and will be complemented by screenings at the National Hispanic Cultural Center, the Guild Cinema and a small online program. It will include twenty-five feature and short films from countries such as Venezuela, Peru, Spain, Mexico, Argentina, United States, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Bolivia, Colombia, Panama and Cuba. Cine Magnifico will also feature a special film session for children, panel discussions, talks, film book presentations and will focus this year on New Mexico's growing and prominent film industry.
