This book tells the story behind ‘The Last Movie’, a cult movie filmed in the village of Chinchero (Peru) by the actor and filmmaker Dennis Hopper and which was edited at the artist's home in Taos (New Mexico).

The Village Of Chinchero Was, In 1970, In A Beautiful Territory, Still Untouched By The Crushing Machinery Of Mass Tourism. The Young And Conflictive Dennis Hopper Arrived There To Shoot What He Envisioned As A Masterpiece Of The Hippie Counterculture: “the Last Movie”. It Was A Strange Western And A Proposal That Was Nothing More Than A Corrosive Attack On Hollywood.

Fietta Jarque (Lima, Peru) Is A Journalist And Writer. She Began Working In Cultural Journalism At Oiga Magazine And El Observador Newspaper. She Has Lived In Spain Since 1984 And In The Same Year She Was Hired As Editor Of The Culture Pages Of The Newspaper El País, Where She Remained Until 2013. Specializing In Art And Music, She Was In Charge Of The Art Pages Of The Babelia Supplement For More Than A Decade. In 2013 She Founded The Digital Publishing House Plibros, Specializing In Peruvian Writers. She Has Published The Books “entrevista Con Los Ángeles” (1995), Co-authored With Journalist Rosa Rivas; The Novel “yo Me Perdono” (1998); And The Interview Book “cómo Piensan Los Artistas” (2015).
