Planta permanente

Planta permanente Cartel 'Planta permanente'

Ezequiel Radusky's debut feature, ‘Los dueños’ (2013), already dealt with the problems that cross the opposition between people of different social classes, where space defines their identity and also acts as a possible place of conflict. In ‘Planta permanente’, the approach to the power strategy exhibited by places, depending on who controls and promotes them, reaches the ultimate consequences to show to what extent we are prisoners of our circumstances.

Synopsis: Lila and Marcela have always worked as cleaning staff in a state dependency. They know its nooks and crannies like no one else and have invented a way of subsistence - and a dream - by running an absolutely irregular canteen in an abandoned corner of the building. But times change: a new director arrives, with her cynical speeches full of commonplaces, and with her come empty promises, the closure of the canteen and a wave of layoffs that destroy the precarious balance of life in the State and transforms daily tasks into a struggle for survival.
