Triad Dialog

Triad Dialog Clara Hevia

As part of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Instituto Cervantes New York presents "Triad Dialog", an exploration through three diverse territories and historical memories, which converge in an alternative narrative of original cultures; The Guanches of Canary Island, The Incas of Peru, and The Aztecs of Mexico.

Three contemporary artists recontextualize their own individual references, engaging with subjects that range from the socio-political to the feminine. Erika Harrsch, Ana de Orbegoso and Yapci Ramos, create a decolonized imaginary departing on their own mythic homelands that shift and move as their own bodies within a world in constant mobility.

This multidisciplinary exhibition of latín diasporic voices, reveals women’s essential relationship to nature, and through this compelling perspective they weave a horizontal line that bridge over pre- colonialized lands.
