Doña Perfecta in Tagalog

On the occasion of the centenary of Pérez Galdós, the Philippine publishing house Ateneo de Manila University Press undertook the translation into Tagalog of a novel of his, Doña Perfecta, which had an extraordinary influence on the gestation of the novels of Filipino writer José Rizal.

After several vicissitudes, the translation by Filipino Hispanist Wystan de la Peña is finally presented at Día del Libro.
