Proyecto Europa: Beyond the Spanish Goden Age at the London Festival of Baroque Music CDN e Instituto Cervantes

The CNDM and the Instituto Cervantes join two of the most important spaces for the promotion of Spanish music as part of the Project Europa 2022/23: The London Festival of Baroque Music, and the National Centre for Early Music in York.

In May 2023, under the title: Beyond the Spanish Golden Age, some of the best Spanish musicians and music groups specialising in the historicist interpretation of the early and baroque Spanish repertoires will step on to the British stage to present this rich musical heritage. The objective of the project is to help these Spanish musicians and groups and to exemplify the richness, uniqueness and quality of Spanish musical heritage.

At the London Festival of Baroque Music, audiences can enjoy performances from Concerto 1700 and their principal violinist and director, Daniel Pinteño, the soprano Lucía Caihuela and the musical group L’Apothéose, soprano Raquel Andueza and La Galanía, guitarist and vihuela player José Miguel Moreno, and La Grand Chapelle, led by Albert Recasens.

The National Centre for Early Music in York will welcome the performances of Raquel Andueza and La Galanía, and Concerto 1700
