La Grande Chapelle

La Grande Chapelle CNDM e Instituto Cervantes

La Grande Chapelle is a vocal and instrumental group with a focus on European Early music, whose principal objective is to revive the great Spanish vocal works composed between the sixteenth to eighteenth centuries. At the same time, they also play a fundamental role in the recuperation and restoration of the Hispanic music repertoire. They are led and conducted by Albert Recasens. On this occasion, they will bring a repertoire that puts into the spotlight the great Spanish choral works of the sixteenth to eighteenth centuries, with a particular focus on the works of Juan Hidalgo, one of the Spanish greats of the seventeenth century. During this recital, the audience will be able to admire some of Hidalgo’s best-known pieces, as well as witness the modern premiere of one of his works.
