The Zonazine programme presents a series of recently-produced documentaries. Viewers will be presented with a diversity of themes ranging from politics to nature, and the documentaries selected all employ bold choices relating to format to maximize their impact.
Invasión covers the United States’ invasion of Panamá. Not wishing to come down on either side of history, its makers tell their story through the testimony of others.
Next explores the phenomenon of young girls in the US who dream of achieving fame and fortune in Hollywood. This documentary shines a light on an aspect of life in the US which, despite its constant nature, escapes the attention of most ordinary people.
La sonrisa verdadera, an audiovisual journey that narrates the story of Sergio, a young blind boy who suffers from autism, over the course of a cycling trip accompanied by his brother.
El Hide and Seek explores the complexity of the current political situation in Lebanon from a European standpoint. In the second part of a double bill, El gran vuelo, is a documentary made from original footage which traces the life of a communist woman during the war and the post-war period.
Closing this cinema series we have Doñana, cuatro estaciones, which captures dramatic images of the spectacular seasonal changes affecting this protected national park in Andalusia.
