Magnificent reds
So many of Spain’s great red wines are made from Tempranillo, that this grape is identified with the country as a whole. However, Spain has many other superb wines made in different regions and with distinctive varieties whose quality has skyrocketed over the last three decades to reach world-class status. To end this season, we will taste some of the best and most acclaimed tempranillos produced in Rioja, Ribera del Duero and Toro, along with great wines from Priorat, Penedés, Bierzo, Aragón, Jumilla and other areas.
