The Tempranillo Project IV: Stellar Reds

So many of Spain’s great red wines are made from Tempranillo, that this grape is identified with the country as a whole. However, a look at Spain’s wine map shows that with minor exceptions, the best Tempranillo-based wines come mostly from a relatively small strip in northern Spain that stretches from Rioja to Toro, through Ribera del Duero. In this closing tasting seminar we will focus on those areas to blind taste some of their greatest Tempranillos.
