Spanish Presidency of the Council of the European Union

On the occasion of the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the European Union, the Cervantes Institute of New York presents a multidisciplinary program that allows us to reflect, bring together and share the concept of Europe and the role of the European Union. It also allows us to highlight the role of culture in the construction of the European identity. The program will include the Luis Valtueña International Photography Award exhibition organized by the NGO Doctors of the World since 1997 and several concerts with works by contemporary Spanish composers who have developed their artistic career in New York and the dissemination of zarzuela on the occasion of the bicentennial of Francisco Asenjo Barbieri.
