This session will feature a screening of Play (2005), directed by Alicia Scherson, Chile’s submission for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 78th Academy Awards. The film tells the story of Cristina, a young woman from southern Chile who works as a caretaker in Santiago and becomes entangled in the fragmented lives of others, exploring themes of identity, urban solitude, and human connection.
