Mamalluca, Chilean Film Showcase

With the aim of promoting Chilean culture through the seventh art, the Mamalluca Chilean Film Showcase returns once again to the Instituto Cervantes. This year, two films made by women will be screened. On October 30, The Cow Who Sang a Song Into the Future (2022), directed by Francisca Alegría, will be shown; and on December 9, Play (2025), directed by Alicia Scherson. In Quechua, mamalluca means “mother who welcomes,” and in this spirit, the showcase seeks to offer a space that embraces and highlights the important Chilean film production, including documentaries and feature films.
