Nomads (1948)
Through different images, we observe different daily work and craftsmanship of the nomadic tribes of the Quert region in Morocco. The shepherds accompany their herds and carry thorns to their tented camps to protect themselves from jackals. There the women are busy pounding esparto grass with a mallet or sifting flour, but they also look after the children and tattoo each other. At dusk the cattle return and the sheep are milked. Visitors are treated to tea and roast lamb. But life goes on, the camp sets off for other lands.
