Glimpses of the Protectorate of Morocco, Western Sahara and Ifni

This session offers a journey through colonial visuals on the territories of Western Sahara, Ifni and the Moroccan Protectorate. From a sample of documentaries and newsreels produced since the 1930s, the show offers an approach to the complex relations between Spain and Morocco, whose military, orientalist and nostalgic echoes resonate strongly in the construction of the Spanish imaginary about the spaces of North Africa.
