Los novios de piedra (The Stone Bride and Groom)

In the surroundings of Mount Arruit (Morocco), all the preparations for a wedding take place. The guests arrive and the ritual begins in which the unmarried sister brings a plate with henna with which the groom marks the walls of the new house, which he will enter with his future wife. The narrator reminds us of the legend: “The bride and groom will not listen to the muezzin, who announces the coming of dawn, we are in the month of Ramadan, one cannot eat or lie with a woman during the day; therefore Allah, enraged, will turn them to stone.”
