THE MAE WEST TEST

Last year, in the Mauro VS tasting seminar we blind tasted side by side the outstanding 2005 and the weak 2002, a vintage not perceived as having a great future. Surprisingly, and despite its age, almost half the tasters expressed their preference for the 2002. The explanation? Extra care in the vineyards combined with the winemaker’s skills can elevate the quality of the wines from a weaker vintage to much higher levels. In this tasting we will compare wines from a vintage perceived as excellent with another one deemed as inferior.
