Good, inexpensive Cava (Spain’s best known sparkling wine), is one of the world’s greatest values. As a result, however, more ambitious (and expensive), top quality Cavas are virtually unknown outside Spain. In this tasting we will showcase ambitious Cavas and other sparkling wines produced in Spain, and blind taste them along with outstanding examples from Champagne and California.
