Drawing inspiration from Disney, Google, Amazon, Orwell, Buñuel, 'The Truman Show,' social media, and "megalomaniac leaders," Spanish comic-book artist turned animation director Alberto Vázquez's new film follows a mouse struggling in a world ruled by a corporation. Arnold is a middle-aged mouse caught in an existential crisis. His marriage is falling apart, his life feels meaningless, and he begins to suspect that everything around him is a grand illusion. When his best friend dies under suspicious circumstances, Arnold becomes convinced that something is not right. What begins as a creeping paranoia turns into a desperate flight toward something that might, just might, resemble freedom.
