And the Goya Goes To – New Spanish Films introduces New York audiences to the most acclaimed Spanish cinema of the moment. Fresh from the Goya® Awards, these films foster a dynamic exchange between two leading film cultures, promoting collaboration and intercultural understanding. The first edition of the festival will take place from April 16 to 19, 2026, and will present seven feature films recently selected or awarded at the 2026 Goya Awards. The program will include the five nominees for Best Fiction Feature Film, as well as the winners of Best Animated Feature Film and Best Documentary Feature Film. Each screening will be accompanied by Q&A sessions with invited filmmakers and industry professionals, encouraging direct dialogue between creators and audiences. The festival will also feature industry panels and discussion spaces, expanding the conversation around contemporary Spanish cinema and its emerging voices.
