Nuevas cinefilias en línea. Estaciones singulares

Nuevas cinefilias en línea. Estaciones singulares Diseño: Ángela Valverde. Imagen: Violeta no coge el ascensor

"Nuevas cinefilias" is a collaboration between the Cervantes Institute and the Seville European Film Festival, very attentive to show the most risky Spanish cinema and therefore more difficult to reach the public. This cycle, co-organized by both institutions, has been developed since 2018 to be the best showcase of a new Spanish cinema, which thanks to this initiative reaches screens of all latitudes, demonstrating the vitality of our cinematography.

This year, the cycle presents four recent Spanish films, rabidly contemporary. They are four films that, because of their language and their themes, could not have been made before, and they are four films that in their own bodies include a memory of the past. They are four films that innovate, risk and play with contemporary structures and narratives, but at the same time update the legacy of the history of cinema, and even of Spanish cinema.

These four films open a path, at the same time that they travel along others already open and, in this way, create new parameters so that the new moviegoers of today, and those of tomorrow, can understand, from the cinema, the changes that are taking place in a society that seems to be constantly changing.
