Migration literature in Latin American novels

Latin American women authors have written a lot about this phenomenon, especially migration to the United States. Why do they leave? Is it just for the Latin American dream or is it something more? The talk will be based on the challenges of adapting to a new country and facing new culture and people. The talk will also focus on the role that home and memory play in the migration process.
