Innocence

Innocence Alejandro Gil

We begin the Cuban Film Festival with the screening of the movie Innocence, directed by Alejandro Gil. Sinopsis: The film is inspired by the tragic event that occurred on November 27, 1871 with the execution of eight Cuban medical students by the Spanish colonial authorities. The plot is set in two moments in time: 1887, when Fermín Valdés Domínguez, initially involved in the events, conducts investigations aimed at proving the innocence of those who were his fellow students and, in retrospect, 1871, the year in which the unfounded imprisonment and murder of the young men took place.
