Bookaroo Children's Literature Festival
Casa autorretratoBookaroo is the most important children's literature festival in India. Instituto Cervantes, in collaboration with the Spanish Embassy in New Delhi, has been participating in it for several years by inviting writers and illustrators. The festival is usually held in an open-air space and has a varied programme of activities, from workshops and talks to meetings with children. This year it will be held at the Sunder Nursery. The invited author offers a workshop in parallel to the festival at the Center. This year, the illustrator Antonia Santolaya has been invited. She will give two different workshops on the 8th, 9th and 10th of November at Sunder Nursery. One consists of making an emotional self-portrait, using a model of a house as a reference. Once drawn and painted, it is folded and you have a 3D house that speaks of the person who made it. Another workshop is about cardboard plates and one will draw what participants feed on. The concept of food will be extended to everything that makes one feel good. These two workshops are aimed at children.
