Pablo César, the Argentine director of this fascinating film Después del Final. This feature film is based on the real life of Luz Fernández de Castillo, a prominent cultural personality in the city of Buenos Aires.
The plot of the film focuses on Gloria, a distinguished Argentine painter, writer and gallery owner. She is going through the darkest years of her life, as her husband, with whom she has shared her life since adolescence, decides to leave her as well as the country. In addition, she faces the threat of an increasingly dangerous disease.
As the end approaches for Gloria, her mind and heart retrace the long road that has led her to this point. From her childhood with her father, an Andalusian bookseller who transmitted to her the love of culture, to the sad farewell to her loved ones. The film explores the episodes in which Gloria has faced attempts at abuse, as well as moments of love and motherhood.
As time runs out, recognition for her work also grows. painting, philosophy, literature and all the disciplines that have occupied her life are intertwined with her personal history, leading to an enigmatic present in which she undertakes her last mission in this world: an imposing tribute to art and culture. From her gallery, Gloria seeks to heal the wounds of the past and puts her whole body and soul into her definitive work.
