Spanish Film Series Directed by Women
On the occasion of the celebration of International Women's Day and Women's History Month, the Embassy of Spain in India and the Instituto Cervantes in New Delhi present a new edition of the "Spanish Film Series Directed by Women" with the aim of making visible the work and point of view of women in audiovisual creation and the Spanish film industry.
The series brings together a selection of the most significant works of Spanish cinema by women in recent years - both by new filmmakers such as Carlota Pereda and Paz Vega, and by already established directors such as Icíar Bollaín and Arantxa Echevarría - and covers a wide range of themes and styles, without restrictions based on gender prejudices, which reflects the excellent creative moment that Spanish cinema directed by women is experiencing.
The films will be accompanied by a high tea and a Cinema forum coordinated by the Centre's teachers, where attendees could share and discuss about the film.
