I'm Nevenka
I'm Nevenka is a Spanish biographical drama film directed by Icíar Bollaín, who co-wrote the script with Isa Campo.
In 2000, Nevenka Fernández, 24, Councilor for Finance at the Ponferrada City Council, suffers relentless persecution, both emotionally and professionally, by Mayor Ismael Álvarez, a man accustomed to doing his will in politics and in personal life. Nevenka decides to report, although she knows that she will have to pay a very high price: her environment does not support her, Ponferrada society turns its back on her and the media subjects her to a public trial.
The film will be accompanied by a high tea and
a Cinema forum coordinated by the Center's
teachers, where attendees could
share and discuss their impressions.
