Blood on the Crown

Blood on the Crown is a 2021 Maltese-Canadian-American film directed by Davide Ferrario. Set in the final days of World War I, during Malta's revolution for independence, it chronicles the struggle that led the people of Malta to declare their independence from the United Kingdom in 1919. The English government sent several emissaries who declared more than 100 citizens of the country guilty of inciting violence, for which they were subsequently tried and imprisoned.
