Nuestros días más felices

Nuestros días más felices Nuestros días más felices

In a quiet town on the coast of Argentina, Agatha, 74, and Leonidas, 36, have such an absorbing mother-son relationship that he has never dared to build a life beyond the family home. One day, Agatha wakes up in the body of a little girl: as herself, but at the age of eight. As family tries to adjust to new forms of physical and emotional dependency, Leonidas’ older sister Elisa is summoned home, and perhaps old wounds might finally heal.

This second feature from Sol Berruezo Pichon-Riviére, a talented Argentinian filmmaker still in her twenties, is a lovely, life-affirming tale of family and relationships, aging and mortality. Her wonderfully unique approach to storytelling includes quirky animations and some delightful comic touches.

The screening on Sun 12 Mar will be followed by a Q&A with writer-director Sol Berruezo Pichon-Riviére.
