El asfalto

El asfalto El asfalto (Narciso Ibáñez Serrador, 1966)

A gentleman with one leg in a cast walks through the big city on a hot summer day. The sun melts the pavement, and the man remains stuck to a patch of asphalt, unable to get off. He asks a child, passers-by and the police for help, but no one gives it to him. Some ignore him because they think he is deformed, and others simply refuse to help him.

The film is presented by Salford University professor Andy Willis.
