Arturo Barea. The English window

Arturo Barea. The English window barea

It's been 120 years since Arturo Barea's birth and about 60 years since he passed away. For that reason, the writer's Bibliographic Office has collected all the editions of his works.

Almost all his books were first published in English (they were translated by the Austrian Isla Barea), and many have not met a Spanish version yet. This exhibition reflects some of the harsh circumstances of a life in exile, personally dramatic and culturally terrible.

The Instituto Cervantes in Manchester invites you to the exhibition's opening night that will be presented by the expert Willian Chislett and followed by a wine reception. Free event but booking recommended.

The exhibition will be open to the general public until 17th September.
