Niño de Elche: VOCES DEL EXTREMO

New Flamenco describes a style of music with its roots in flamenco which departs from tradition and mixes with other genres.

Niño de Elche is an artist who fits perfectly within this trend, and his unique style liberates flamenco music from clichés and stereotypes.

Voces Del Extremo includes texts from Spanish contemporary poets such as Antonio Orihuela, Inma Luna, Bernardo Santos and Begoña Abad, part of what’s described as the ‘poetry of consciousness’.

Following the style of his previous projects, Niño de Elche is influenced by flamenco as well as other musical genres, from krautrock to ambient, all mixed with new wave from the late 70s and early 80s.
