Motherland Embajada de Perú en Reino Unido

The Embassy of Peru in the United Kingdom, together with the Instituto Cervantes, presents a new edition of the Peruvian Film Club, a space dedicated to showcasing the creativity, diversity, and talent of Peruvian cinema. 


The two films in this cycle explore identity, memory, and the human experience through powerful narratives. 

KINRA (MOTHERLAND) directed by Marco Panatonic Atoqcha, a young man from Cusco who dreams of becoming an engineer, faces a profound dilemma between pursuing his studies in the city and staying with his mother and sister in the Peruvian highlands. As he moves between rural and urban realities, he carries with him the essence of his homeland and the weight of belonging.
