In her debut film, young director María Silvia Esteve tackled a controversial subject with a documentary about her mother's story. A visual proposal that shows the blurred and deformed tissue of a difficult past. A work with a beautiful commitment to the difficulty of remembering and with the possibilities that cinema offers to visually accompany those wounds. This is, without question, a characteristic of her style that can be seen in her next work, Criatura (Creature), a short film from 2021.

Synopsis: In a failed attempt to rebuild Silvia's life, her daughter seeks to make sense of a story covered in violence and denial, experimenting with the blurred images of her parents and the inconsistent memories of her sisters. The film deals with the differences that arise in the reconstruction of Silvia's memory. The portrait of the bond between a mother and her daughters and the unspoken words find new meanings beyond pain.
