Learning to Live

Learning to Live Ana Molina

Focusing on Irish author of fiction and non-fiction, Catherine Dunne, and writer, journalist, scriptwriter and film director, David Trueba, this event takes a look at their past and how they handle the twists and turns along life’s path. Of Trueba’s many titles, we will explore Learning to Lose (2008), Rolling Fields (2017) and Queridos niños (2021). There will also be a reading that will introduce us to the vast world of these authors’ minds and reveal their secret to living well. 

 
David Trueba is a writer, journalist, screenwriter and film director born in Madrid, Spain. He has published six novels, including Learning to Lose (2008) (National Critics' Prize for Best Novel, finalist for the prestigious Médicis Prize in its French translation and Novel of the Year by El Cultural, a weekly suplement with the Spanish newspaper El Mundo), Blitz (2015), Rolling Fields (2017) and Queridos niños (2021). 

Catherine Dunne is an Irish novelist and nonfiction author. Her recent publications include The Years That Followed and The Things We Know Now. Her novels The Walled Garden (El jardín vallado) and A Name for Himself  (Un nombre propio) have been published in Spanish.
