Great Painters From The Prado Museum CEEH (Centro de Estudios Europa Hispánica)

The Instituto Cervantes and the Centre for the Studies of the Hispanic Europe (CEEH), in collaboration with the Greco-American Union, present this cinema series that includes four documentaries on important artists which works are shown at the Prado Museum in Madrid. 


Patinir, the invention of paysage; El Greco, painter of the invisible; Spectacular Rubens and Zurbaran and his Twelve Sons, comprise a coherent programme that will be of interest to specialists and  people of different backgrounds.

Thanks to the participation of renowned curators and researchers, the films allow us to know the careers and works of four great painters from the Prado Museum other international collections.

Individually, they have featured in the programmes of leading international museums, universities and festivals including the Grand Palais (Paris), the Louvre Museum (Paris), the National Gallery (Washington), The Frick Collection (New York), the Meadows Museum (Dallas), Museo de la Santa Cruz (Toledo), Museo del Prado (Madrid), the Thyssen-Bornemisza Museum (Madrid), the Seminci (Valladolid) and many more. 

Films produced by the CEEH, in collaboration with The Prado Museum, The Auckland Project and The Greco Foundation.
