León Felipe ¿Quién soy yo?

The exhibition, organized to mark the 50th Anniversary of the death of León Felipe (1968-2018) by the León Felipe Foundation and Acción Cultural Española (AC/E), with the collaboration of the Castilla y León Regional Government and the Zamora City Council, aims to remember through five chapters the intense biography, and the production and impact of the literary work of this essential character of our recent history who was an actor, pharmacist, professor, lecturer and, above all, a poet. In the expository discourse priority has been given to those pieces (photography, painting, sculpture, historical press, books and documents) that promote the dissemination of the life and work of León Felipe, since his departure from Spain at the beginning of the 20s of the XXth century- and its difficult classification in a current or literary generation, caused that it was an author unjustly forgotten. The exhibition addresses both his life trajectory and his literary universe. Who am I ?, was the question he launched from his first poems and repeated throughout his life. The search for a poet of prophetic character, whose word stands as a spokesman for the human condition. The poet of mud, as he defined himself, the eternal traveler, makes a stop on his journey to answer us.
