Sleeping Women
Sleeping Women is dedicated to women survivors of domestic violence. In terms of the strength and temperament that women have had to deal with the adversities that arise throughout their lives. Esperanza Gama born in Guadalajara, Jalisco México, she received her basic formal instruction in the arts at the Escuela de Artes Plástica of the Universidad de Guadalajara. Gama moved to Paris where she studied printmaking. In 1993 she traveled to Asia to study Chinese painting at the Gakikale Sumie Centen in Tokyo, these travels served to introduce her to the Renaissance and Surrealist painters. Gama eventually made her home in Chicago, painting and exhibiting extensively in that area. Conference Migration is the humanity´s history by Alicia Elena Pérez Daurte y Noroña. People migrated for pleasure, fears or lack of opportunities; in each one of them, each person grows up within, along with the community where they arrived. Perhaps, men and women don't migrate the same way, each one has different consequences in their lifes and bodys; for example, the systematic rapes in women's bodys from Central America, South America and traveled in Mexico in search of the American Dream. Alicia Elena Pérez Daurte y Noroña She has a Bachelor's degree, Master's Degree and a Doctorate in Law from "UNIVERSIDAD NACIONAL AUTONOMA DE MEXICO", she is specialist in human rights and gender legal studies, a subject in which she is a pioneer both in Mexico and in the international sphere. Counselor in the Permanent Mission of Mexico to the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland; she was also Delegate for Latin America of the World Organization Against Torture and Technical Secretary of the Special Commission of the Senate on Feminicides. Growing together ... Creciendo juntos Main mission of Growing Together is to educate, diffuse, research, present and disseminate the folklore and the different cultural and artistic expressions of Latin America to children and adults of all nationalities, cultural and ethnic backgrounds. Growing Together (GT) was founded on July 22nd 1996 to provide a different approach to education with the use of arts. An important issue that Growing Together is focus to is related to protect women against violence, presenting seminars and musical theater's plays based on that sensitive point.
