Carles Gené Sisó
Journalist and audiovisual producer Carles Gené will present a multidisciplinary project—comprising a lecture and a workshop—in collaboration with Darat Al Tasweer. Through this initiative, he will share his professional experience as a journalist in the Middle East and his expertise in documentary filmmaking.
Carles Gené (Lleida, 1956) is a journalist, photographer, and filmmaker with a long and distinguished career in the audiovisual field. He began his professional journey as a reporter in conflict zones, developing a journalistic perspective deeply rooted in the human stories behind major events.
Over the course of his career, he has worked at TV3 as Head of Sports Production, collaborated with Mediapro, and produced highly successful television programmes such as Polònia, Crackòvia, and Gran Nord. He also contributed to the launch of the audiovisual department of the newspaper El Nacional and currently collaborates with LFmagazine.photo, where he curates the section “Photo of the Week”. He is the founder and director of the production company Mainera TV.
