Drawing on his extensive professional background, Gené will also share case studies and first-hand experiences, providing valuable insight into the challenges and creative possibilities of this documentary genre.
Carles Gené (Lleida, 1956) is a journalist, photographer, and filmmaker with a distinguished career in the audiovisual field. He began his professional path as a reporter in conflict zones, shaping a journalistic approach focused on the human stories behind the news.
Over the course of his career, he has worked at TV3 as Head of Sports Production, collaborated with Mediapro, and been involved in the production of widely acclaimed television programs such as Polònia, Crackòvia, and Gran Nord. He also contributed to the establishment of the audiovisual department of the newspaper El Nacional and currently writes for LFmagazine.photo, contributing to the section Photo of the Week. He is the founder and director of the production company Mainera TV.
