Tell the History in comics. An introduction.

Within the framework of the Comic Week in Jordan, organized by EUNIC-Jordan and the European Union Delegation, the Spanish illustrator, author, and comic critic, Ángel de la Calle will give a three-day workshop under the name Tell the History in Comic. An introduction.

The workshop is intended for professional artists and will have three main axes:

- The first one will talk about the history of the so-named "ninth art", mostly since the XIX century until today, referring to the most-known works.

- The second axis will be divided in two. The first part will get close to the ontology, the linguistic specificities, and the narratives. The second part will talk about how to tell the history through two of the guest’s books, Modotti, a woman from the XX century, and War Paints.

- The last day there will be a practical test consisting of the making, design, layout, and edition of a Minicomic.
