Magma
Carla AndradeCarla Andrade is an artist who focuses her work on photography, painting and experimental film. With Magma she presents us with an audiovisual piece that invites reflection on the timeless and the cyclical, in which movement, light and color, together with the outstanding music of Canadian composer Jonathan Kawchuk, create a dialogue of singular beauty.
Synopsis: Drops of fire that create a universe of magmatic asteroids. Liquid and gravitational reality. Cosmic energy. Atomized rhythm. Neurons of a liberated unconscious. Elimination of the idea of soul as a whole, reducing it to the condition of units of energy in perpetual process, elementary particles, without duration, arising in perfect dependence. The self as a stream of units of force in incessant becoming that procures the illusion of an entity. Karmic chain. Idea that eternity resides in the transitory, the eternal belongs to the instant. Eternity not as infinite duration but as absence of temporality. Universe of mobile, processual, relational and interactive character of all that exists. Here the object is conceived as something that is being constituted, completed, lost and recovered with the vibratile rhythm of a universe in constant production.
