La Llorona (short film)

La Llorona is an interdisciplinary project that proves how art can be used as a symbol to raise awareness for social problems, specifically feminicides in Mexico. This hybrid animation film experiments with innovative creative resources in order to communicate with beauty and dignity, the fight of many families that have lost women who where part of this situation. It was made in collaboration between mexican animator/filmmaker Adriana Ronquillo and her team, La Furia Estudios with the music ensemble from the Netherlands, SnowApple, and songwriter Pedro Miguel. As well as a group of teachers, activists and journalists from Mexico and the Netherlands that where involved in the cause for a change.
