We closed the year on our Vimeo channel with the celebration of El día más corto [ED+C] (The Shortest Day), an initiative that recognizes the format and expressive forms of short films.

For this edition, we proposed a program to the Rural FilmFest festival that would confront us with the growing concern for sustainability and care for our planet, as a demand made of us by the current Anthropocene. Thus, the four short films that make up this year's cycle entitled «Rural cinema, a tool for wisdom and understanding» spark different ideas and express themselves in different tones to bring us closer to spaces in Spanish and Mexican geography, as well as to the experience and culture that they have treasured for centuries.

The short films in this exhibition invite us to embrace new ways of influencing these environments in a non-intrusive and non-destructive way, and the program undoubtedly conveys the idea that we must act and that, perhaps, we still have time to change things.
