Directed by Oscar winner José Luis Garci, the film became an emblem for the young generation that was born during the Franco regime and faced, with the arrival of democracy, the hard task of taking stock of the influence of the dictatorship on their way of being. José Sacristán and Fiorella Faltoyano star in a love story that looks at a Spanish society undergoing a change that denotes a new country, where people like them will have to forge a new future.

Synopsis: José and Elena, who had been sweethearts when they were young, meet years later and fall in love again, although now they are both married. Their clandestine love story is also determined by the circumstances of the moment in which they live: the last years of Franco's regime and the beginning of the Transition.
