Ama

Ama Javi Fernández

It was no surprise that the short film Ama was made into a feature film two years after its premiere. The director Júlia de Paz debuted as one of the directors of the collective film La filla d'algú, but with this short film her authorial drive materializes, which is closely linked to the feminist confession shown in this short film. The main character played by Tamara Casellas performs a fascinating work that composes a sincere tribute to motherhood.

Synopsis: Pepa and her daughter Leila are thrown out of their home, and are dragged to find a place to sleep before night falls on a happy carnival day.
