Lucía

Through the story of three women, three key periods in the development of Cuban nationality and their liberation struggles are described. 1895- A young patriot from the Cuban aristocracy is seduced by a Spanish agent, which allows the colonial army to discover the insurgent camp. Maddened, she kills her lover. 1933- A young woman from the petty bourgeoisie falls in love with a fighter against Machado's tyranny and leaves her family to share his ideals. The revolution is betrayed and its comrade dead; Lucía is left alone on the road. 196_ A young peasant girl faces the jealousy of her husband who does not allow her to work and become literate, after joining the Revolution.
