Reading "Episodios Nacionales" by Benito Pérez Galdós

This 2020 marks the 100th anniversary of the death of the Spanish writer Benito Pérez Galdós. In this last appointment of the year, we will chat about The National Episodes , a collection of forty-six historical novels. They are divided into five series and deal with the history of Spain from 1805 to 1880. Each attendee will be able to choose which episode(s) they wish to read and then comment on it in the November appointment.

In 1873 Galdós began the publication of the first series of The National Episodes with Trafalgar. His popularity with readers during the 90's is growing with his second series of National Episodes.
