Science Week in Australia
La Cátedra Cervantes was born in 2013 with the ambition of promoting the Spain Brand and raising the profile of Spain's international projection. Its mission is to promote the knowledge of cutting-edge projects related, not only with the arts and letters, but with all branches of academic knowledge. For this, the Cervantes Institute of Sydney, works hand in hand with important local universities, as well as Australian, Spanish and international companies, always seeking to disseminate a part of the Spanish academic, scientific and cultural world with less international visibility. In this year 2021 so relevant because of the importance that the international scientific community has and has had in recent times due to the covid-19 pandemic, but also because of so many global challenges to which scientists contribute in an essential way and in which Research plays a fundamental role in various key disciplines for our present and for our future; contributing to the development of a more sustainable society, capable of continuing to solve the challenges of today and tomorrow. It is for this reason that the Cervantes Institute of Sydney on the occasion of Science Week in Australia collaborates with the Association of Spanish Scientists in Australia (SRAP) to offer a series of conferences and workshops on topics as relevant as microplastics, green energy and astronomy.
